I like your idea of a sunflower, because it is really positve and children gonna like it! Perhaps you could change the mouth a little bit, because it doesn't really look like she (or he) is blowing the bubbles.
I like your idea, because it is very colourful. But maybe you find a way to make the mouth in a different way without ountlines, because you use them only there and it is a little bit distracting.
Happy colors! I agree with others about the mouth. To have it "blowing" is challenging. Think about whether hands and legs need that many stripes or the flower part that many "rings" yellow and orange colors. Now there is too much details because of stripes.
Also I would consider whether the eyelashes are important in this small size and simplified character. Have you thought about having only one leg to remain some more flowerness? It cannot walk with one leg, but it won't prevent it moving, 'cause it may move for example by jumping. The organic shape of legs is very good.
